Unimutual held an important webinar for Members on Tuesday 6 February 2024 to provide an overview of the proposed changes to the Unimutual Constitution and offer a platform to share and address any of your questions.

The Unimutual Constitution is a legally binding set of rules outlining how our organisation should operate. It details our structure, governance, and main activities. The document also explains the roles, responsibilities and powers of the Board, Directors, Management and Members.

It is crucial that Unimutual adopts contemporary, leading practices when it comes to governance and compliance. While the current Unimutual Constitution continues to serve your needs, a lot has changed since its adoption more than 20 years ago.

It is in this spirit that we propose a new constitution, in line with contemporary language and governance practices, while ensuring it reflects the changes to the Corporations Act (2001) and Financial Services Law.

As a valued Member, it is of utmost importance that we keep you informed and involved in the decision-making process. Your support and engagement make all the difference, and we are confident that together we can shape a stronger future for our Mutual.
