Safety checklist for residential colleges reopening

For many students, not only their study but their accommodation was closed just a few weeks into the new academic year. Now, some campuses are opening back up – and with them, the residential colleges that allow students safe and affordable accommodation near their studies.
But given recent upticks in cases in Victoria, developments remain cautious and phased. Residential colleges must decide how to best support students while keeping them safe. For international and rural students, a return to face-to-face learning may not be an option without accommodation.
So what are residential colleges contending with and how are they handling it? We have been in close contact with our Members affected by this issue.
