During the equine influenza outbreak, a Member with a veterinary clinic specialising in horses sustained financial losses. These losses resulted from the ban on the movement of horses within the state, which meant that horses were not able to be brought into the clinic. In addition, the clinic incurred expenses (not fully recoverable from its clients) to house and feed the horses which it was required to keep in its care.
