The Modern Slavery Act: Leading beyond Compliance
Sarah Morse presented at our 2022 Conference with an inspiring talk on the Modern Slavery Act, the “why” behind it, and the impact COVID-19 is having on modern slavery and international students.
Sarah is a former Young Australian of the Year (NSW, 2004), and is the Director of Unchained Solutions. Unchained is a for-purpose consulting firm which inspires Australian organisations to be leaders in impacting modern slavery. A portion of Unchained’s profits are reinvested back into social enterprises providing meaningful employment to survivors of modern slavery.
With twenty-five years’ experience in humanitarian work, leadership and cancer nursing, Sarah has learnt some of life’s richest lessons from some of the world’s poorest people. She shares these lessons to inspire her audience to live with empathy, positivity and purpose. Sarah is passionate about seeing Australian businesses increase trust by demonstrating authentic values, and by making ethical choices.
Sarah has been entertaining audiences for two decades, and her engaging and passionate style helps to bring new vitality to your workforce, and transform the way compliance is viewed in your organisation.
Sarah has received many awards for her humanitarian work, including a medal from the Order of Australia committee, and was the 2019 Kerrie Nairn Scholar with Professional Speakers Australia, and a silver medallist in the 2020 Ausmumpreneur awards, in the “Women will change the world” category.
