The University of Queensland’s ‘Gensumer’ initiative – the future of energy?

In this presentation, Andrew Wilson speaks about his previously involvement as the Head of Energy and Sustainability at UQ, in which he led a range of initiatives that helped UQ on the sustainability and renewable energy journey, what they did at UQ and invaluable lessons and insights along the way.

Andrew is a leader within the energy sector, bringing over a decade of experience and deep expertise in renewable energy projects and energy markets. His experience spans all parts of the energy infrastructure lifecycle, from feasibility and development through to construction and operations. As a Director in KPMG’s Energy Infrastructure team, Andrew blends his technical and commercial skills to assist government and corporate clients to navigate the complex challenges and realise the many opportunities of the energy transition. Andrew was previously Head of Energy & Sustainability for The University of Queensland and Project Director of the $125m Warwick Solar Farm – responsible for leading the first of its kind project from inception through to commercial operation.
