Overseas trends in higher education can often provide us with an early warning sign about trends that will reach our own Australian sector. It has been near impossible to miss the higher education recruitment scandal that rocked the US recently. The fallout has been huge, with lawsuits, job losses, and damages to the reputations of prestigious colleges, university staff and academics, and even celebrities.
