Unimutual’s Conference 2024 will be held Wednesday 13 to Friday 15 of March at the Hotel Grand Chancellor, Hobart Tasmania.
Join us at the 2024 Unimutual Annual Conference and explore new ways to adapt and unlock new possibilities in an ever-shifting world. Get ready to delve into forward-thinking discussions and gain insights that will shape the path forward for the higher education and research sector.
The three-day conference will be held from Wednesday 13 March to Friday 15 March 2024 at the Hotel Grand Chancellor in Hobart, Tasmania. This year’s theme is ‘Staying ahead of the curve together’, to prepare our Members and stakeholders for the next phase of innovation and progress in our industry.
The first round of sessions on Wednesday 13 March will be dedicated towards Member education, allowing delegates to gain a deeper understanding of Unimutual and its Protections. These sessions will also provide an opportunity to learn from our experienced Risk Management team. Sessions are designed for those new to Unimutual, or anyone wanting an opportunity to engage and gain knowledge from the expert Unimutual team.
We have an amazing line-up of speakers including Professor Rufus Black, Vice Chancellor, University of Tasmania who will present our keynote address. Change strategist and author Michael McQueen will also present an engaging session exploring the key trends that will shape tomorrow and how we can gear up for them today.
Delegates will be able to hear from and engage with our panel experts during two panel sessions on ‘Change in or Sector’ and ‘Changes in Risk Protection’. Our delegates will also gain some invaluable insights into pre-loss cyber planning from our expert panel representing Wotton Kearny, Clyde & Co, SecureWorks and AXA XL.
Trevor Woods, Vice-President (Services) Monash University will be presenting the area of digital transformation in the higher education sector. Adam Fletcher, Program Manager, Hycel Technology Hub, Deakin University will share with delegates their exciting developments in the Hydrogen Research area. Geoff Henderson, Unimutual CEO will be presenting on the future strategy plans for Unimutual and gaining feedback from Members.
Dr Shasta Henry of Future Crunch – a passionate scientist and science communicator – What is today’s key quality for individuals and organizations that wish to thrive in a world of constant change? The next decade belongs to those who are willing to adopt new ways of thinking. People with a high AQ, or Adaptability Quotient – the ability to thrive in unpredictable environments.
The 2024 Unimutual Annual Conference is packed with some amazing sessions and there will once again be plenty of opportunities to network with peers. This is certainly an event not to be missed.
An invaluable networking opportunity
As always, the conference provides a unique annual opportunity for you to collaborate and network with your peers in the higher education and research sector.
It is important to note there is NO LIMIT on how many people can attend from your organisation.
The first Member Delegate, Board Member and Technical Committee Member (if applicable) is FREE, Unimutual will cover all airfare, accommodation, meals and conference costs.
For the second Member Delegate, Unimutual will cover all conference costs including the accommodation costs, but excluding the airfare. For additional Member Delegates there will be a conference cost of $700 (plus GST) plus airfares and accommodation.
Full conference registration fee for Non-Members is $1,800 (plus GST), which does NOT include the accommodation cost ($335 per night incl breakfast).
