This form applies to the management of risks associated with small contractors performing work on university and non- university facilities. Large projects should use a more detailed process. Much of this work is project in nature and this form is a simple risk identification tool. This checklist can be used by facility managers, project managers and interested staff to maximise the likelihood of positive outcomes for small maintenance and repair projects and to reduce injury, downtime and loss.

This checklist is generic and may not be suitable for all small projects. It is recommended that each facility utilising this checklist, employ modifications to ensure it is appropriate for their individual circumstances and to better identify and mitigate the risks inherent in their facility.
